Abaxton Nutricom Ibérica obtains the certification for organic inputs from SHC and BCS Öko-Garantie

At ABAXTON NUTRICOM IBÉRICA, we have certified our national fertilizers usable in organic farming within the new voluntary standard UNE 142500: 2017, to offer the maximum guarantees for organic production and provide added value to farmers and consumers of fruits and vegetables of all the regions of our country.

In order to unify criteria, simplify processes and provide guarantee and transparency to the Spanish and European ecological agricultural market, various public and private entities joined forces to, together with the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment (MAPAMA, for its acronym in Spanish), the UNE voluntary standards were created to regularize the manufacturing sector of inputs usable in organic production.

These UNE 142500: 2017 Standards are common to all those certification entities that certify under said standard. They establish the requirements for production, packaging, labeling and marketing of fertilizers for use in organic production and are aimed at manufacturers. With these new regulations, it is possible to unify the use of inputs for organic farming throughout the Spanish territory.

Obtaining, by Abaxton, the certification of these 12 products:

represents added value for our customers and the rest of their supply chain. The SHC Certification service for inputs usable in organic plant production, in application of the control regime and the certification system based on inspection and sampling defined in the UNE66500 Standard for the certification of inputs usable in organic plant production According to the UNE142500 Standard, it has confirmed and endorsed that Abaxton products are manufactured and sold according to RCE 889/2008. In this way, we remain at the forefront in the research, development, commercialization and certification of our organic products.

In the international market, the situation is similar to the European one, but each country has its own legislation: in the US they have their National Organic Program (NOP), in Japan their Japanese Agricultural Standards (JAS), etc. Due to this, at ABAXTON we have decided to work with the German certifier BCS ÖKO Garantie, which was the first organic certifier in its country, with extensive experience in this sector, certifying supplies for all these standards and other else in more than 60 countries . For this, we have achieved the certification for use in organic farming, both in the EU and in other continents, of the products that are listed in the following table:
